The Seldar forest fills the land of Alferydil and is the last remnant of the ancient forests of old, possibly the last living forest on the world. A thick yet pleasant wood of towering oak trees, the Seldar presents many faces to the elves, suiting their needs. Towering trees, flowering glades, wooded brambles, dark and shadowy groves, all can be found in it’s depths. Creatures of all types, sylvan, fairy, nature spirits, predators and game creatures, all exist in natural harmony. Monsters have been known to invade the Seldar, or even lair in it, these creatures, if they upset the harmony of the land, are pursued by the elves as solitary hunters or in Grand Hunts, until the threat is removed.
The portion of the Seldar lying along the Barbary coast bears only a superficial resemblance to the Seldar of the elvish lands. This narrow stretch of forest lies between the Bordyr hills of Aeveroigne and the Barbary Coast. Elves patrol along the Bordyr hills, challenging those who would enter Aeveroigne. Throughout the rest of this portion of the Seldar, various logging or trade towns, individual strongholds, and hidden lairs abound.
