Dhampirs are the spawn resulting from the union of a vampire and a mortal. Some vampires abhor the concept, while others seem not to care either way.
Your dhampir character has certain characteristics in common with other dhampirs.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1.
Alignment. Dhampirs inherit a tendency to evil from their sire, but may be of any alignment.
Size. Dhampirs are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Speed. Dhampirs have a base speed of 30 feet.
Darkvision. Accustomed to life in the shadows, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Undead Resistance. Dhampirs gain advantage on saving throws against disease and mind-affecting effects.
Sunlight Sensitivity. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.
Negative Energy Affinity. Though a living creature, a dhampir reacts to positive and negative energy as if it were undead—positive energy harms it, while negative energy heals it.
Spell-Like Ability. A dhampir can use detect undead three times per day as a spell-like ability. The caster level for this ability equals the dhampir’s class level.
Resist Level Drain. A dhampir takes no penalties from energy drain effects, though he can still be killed if he accrues more negative levels then he has Hit Dice. (we dont know how negative levels work yet).
Languages. Dhampirs begin play speaking the local language. Other languages may be acquired as normal.
Optional: Vampiric Vitality. The dhampir’s bloodlines to his sire have passed on part of the supernatural healing enjoyed by vampire’s, albeit at a reduced rate and in limited circumstances. The dhampir gains the Fast Healing (1) ability, but only in areas of darkness and only when not engaged in strenuous activities.
Dayborn. A few fortunate dhampirs were born during the day under the blessings of priests, and their blood has weaker ties to their undead bloodline than others of their kind. Such dhampirs are unhindered by daylight and lose the light sensitivity racial trait. This racial trait replaces the spell-like ability racial trait.
